Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rocking Chair Marathon. DESCRIPTION: Australians take to their Rocking Chairs to try and beat the record time for a rocking session, 72 1/2 hours. Although the finish is a dead heat between Ian and Edith Drylie the record stands. SHOTLIST: SV start of rocking chair championship. SV official sitting in a rocker. GV contestants in the championship rocking. SV ditto (rocking at speeded up pace), next 3 shots speeded up, ditto. CU feet of 2 contestants, SV 2 contestants rocking. SCU man rocking playing a game of chess with a girl rocking next to him pan to girl. SV woman having hair combed while she rocks. SCU man having a shave whilst he rocks. SV girl rocking in chair. The couples new rocking non stop for 50 hours. SV winner Ian Drylie lying on bed shaking hands. SV Edith Drylie being held up out of rocker, she also is a winner.
