MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Exercise Sally Forth - News in Colour. DESCRIPTION: A demonstration of British Sea and Air Power - purpose of the exercise is to show representatives on NATO countries the contribution the British Navy, Royal Marines and RAF can make. SHOTLIST: GV from HMS Bristol of the Royal Fleet in line ahead. CU bows of two naval ships. SV on left Sir Andrew Humphrey Airforce Chief Marshal & Navy Commander in Chief Sir Edward Ashmore. CU Sir Edward looks through glasses. GV HMS Nubian (F131) steaming at speed. SV decks - pan up to radar equipment. GV 2 Wasp helicopters flying from Nubian. SV 2 Wasp helicopters carrying anti-ship missiles. Wasp ‘copter showing missile attached to fuselage. SV pan two helicopters fly past at speed. GV RAF Nimrod flying over area - it drops a sonic buoy simulating a submarine hunt. SV pan down at it drops into sea. LV naval ships in line ahead in chase. GV HMS Ark Royal decks loaded with Buccaneers and Phantom planes. LV Ark Royal with planes taking off. GV pan Buccaneer dropping bombs on target. SV 2 Buccaneers dropping bombs pan down to large explosion in sea. SV pan Buccaneer fly past at speed. GV pan down bombs hit sea and explode. SV 2 Buccaneers firing rockets and guns. SV explosions on sea. SV a Phantom firing its guns. SV explosions. SV Harrier Jump Jet hovering above HMS Bulwark zoom back to GV naval ships steaming nearby. CU sailor looks through glasses. LV Royal Navy ships in line ahead. GV five naval ships steaming into line ahead.
