MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Strikes/ Mr Heath Meets Mr Cosgrave/ London Bomb Explosion. DESCRIPTION: On the day of the rail strike, railway stations are deserted, car parks full. Eire’s new PM Mr Liam Cosgrave meets Mr Heath. The strike confusion is worsened, when on the day of the Northern Ireland Border Referendum, the city becomes the target for suspected IRA bombs - one dead and over 200 casualties. A day Londoners will remember as they fight their way home. SHOTLIST: Part 1 - STRIKES GV deserted Victoria Station. LV closed gates. CU sign Closed. GV idle trains standing on platform, GVS deserted booking halls at Waterloo, AS sign Tickets. LS deserted ticket offices at Waterloo. GV empty lines at Waterloo. LV towards & pan ambulance speeding down Whitehall. GV activity around bomb blasted at Old Bailey. AS shattered windows. AS Old Bailey pan down to a section of the wreckage of bombed car on pavement. LV large office block with shattered windows. LV wrecked car pulled onto trailer.
