SCU Hanna Mikkola standing by his car Escort No 20. CU Mikkola. SV press photographers. 4 SV 90 year old AK Stevenson prepares to flag away No 12, ditto, flag drops and car starts away pan to BV, pan No 20 flagged away Millola/Porter, pan down from starter as he drops flag, to No 124 [driven by Ronald Hancock] starting away pan to BV - end of night shots. GV pan car along mountain range in French Alps, LV towards pan to BV car No 1 Alpine Renault driven by Darniche & Mahe, along mountain road, LV towards pan to BV No 2 Fiat 124, Ralle, driven by Waldegaard & Thorzelius. TS along snow covered road. GV car round hairpin bend No 36. SV towards No 36. LV towards No 15 which came 2nd driven by Anderson and Todt. Alpine Renault pan to BV as it goes into bend. GV No 18 which came 1st, Alpine Renault driven by Jean Claude Andruet and Michele Biche Petit round hairpin bend. SV No 18 comes out of bend, TS along snow covered road. GV 2 cars No 4 followed by No 5 round hairpin bend. SV No 23 round bend. LV No 12 skids round tight bend. TS along snow covered road, two cars overtake. 2 TS in front of No 98, he pulls out and overtakes, past another car. SV pan car No 18 at night skidding on snow covered road (eventual winner). SCU pan car No 5 skids and hits bank at night, SV pan No 15 skids and just misses bank (2nd place). SV pan No 21 (3rd place). SV pan No 23 hits bank. GV Monte Carlo harbour (daylight). SV pan winning car No 18 arriving being surrounded by press. CU photographers. SV Andruet smiling. SV Andruet & Petit sitting on car. [OTHER DRIVERS INCLUDED - Alistair Findlay and Ian Muir in a Ford Escort, Roy and Mike Pender, Chris Slater and John Davenport, Nicolas and Vidal of France came third]
