MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The 101st British Open Golf. DESCRIPTION: The second time - Mexican Lee Trevino wins the British Open, after a tremendous battle - Jacklin was in a very strong position but Lee got a hole in one, which demoralised Jacklin. Jack Nicklaus was a second and third Tony Jacklin. SHOTLIST: GV Jack Nicklaus makes long put on 18th, ball stops just short of hole. GV crowds applauding. SV Nicklaus sinks ball to make third place. GV Lee Trevino drives onto 18th, pan with ball as it drops and falls past close to hole. GV zoom in to Jacklin and Trevino walking onto 18th. SV crowds watching. SV Jacklin putting on 18th, ball stops near hole, Jacklin then sinks the ball zoom back to GV mass crowds watching. SV Trevino putting ball rolls past hole, he then sinks final put to win the Open, throws cap to his caddy & shakes hands with Jacklin. SV Trevino receives trophy. CU ditto smiling holds trophy.
