MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Man on the Moon (Colour). DESCRIPTION: It’s estimated that about a fifth of the world’s population shared the fantastic achievement of Apollo 11, following, through the immediacy of electronics, Man’s first landfall in Space. Movietone is proud to present, through animation and actuality, the highlights of the whole epic voyage from blast-off to the Sea of Tranquility and the departure for home. One Small Step for Man - One Giant Leap for Mankind -. Neil Armstrong, Apollo Eleven Commander - First Man on the Moon. SHOTLIST: MS astronauts L to R Collins, Aldrin & Armstrong. Sequence: Astronauts have parts of their space suits tested. GV astronauts in full-space-suits towards & into lift. MCU map of moon surface. CU Sea of Tranquility on map. GV rocket firing.
