MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Three Thousand Miles Alone. DESCRIPTION: The longest competitive sailing event in the world - from Plymouth to Newport Rhode Island. Francis Chichester won the first race - in 1960. In 1964, he was beaten by Eric Tabarly. Could Tabarly over-come the early damage to his Trimaran, and repeat his success?
