Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Oil Hazard. DESCRIPTION: The Giant Tanker, Torrey Canyon, aground on the Seven Stones, sixteen miles off Lands End, pouring a blanket of crude oil towards the holiday beaches of the South West. Movietone flies over the stricken ship as remaining crew members are taken off by helicopter, following an explosion on board. Efforts continue to disperse the oil as holiday makers and hoteliers keep their fingers crossed during a frantic battle to save the beaches.
