Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Welsh Floods. DESCRIPTION: Six counties in England and eight in Scotland shared the burden of floods. All the counties of Wales were affected but Montgomeryshire worst of all. Almost three hundred square miles under water. Minister for Wales, James Griffiths, has announced that the Government may start an aid programme for the flood areas. SHOTLIST: Various scenes of fields and roads under water and water rushing down the road. Lorry driving through water. River Severn overflowing. Also scene of an hotel entrance and hotel staff cleaning up mud etc. Various shots of a man and woman cleaning up their home. Pictures of living room. Interior and exterior of a store, overturned counter and girls cleaning up.
