Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Flight of the Firebirds. DESCRIPTION: Pilots of No 56 Squadron, Fighter Command - The Firebirds - are providing this year’s RAF aerobatic team, led by Squadron Leader Seward. Following such famous teams as the Black Arrows and The Blue Diamonds, The Firebirds have a very high standard to live up to. The display season opens on Whit Monday, with the North Weald Show. It’ll reach an early climax at the Paris Air Show, (more important than usual this year because there’s no ‘Farnborough’). SHOTLIST: Key scene. Men of 56 Squadron The Firebirds on tarmac.
