Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Circus Time. DESCRIPTION: The Queen attended a charity performance of the circus in London. Top clown Coco was there to offer Her Majesty a bouquet, and was then presented to Prince Philip and the Prince of Wales. Some of the young Prince’s friends were there, but most unfortunately, Princess Anne had to stay at home, because of a cold. A popular prelude to the programme under the big top were the capering clowns, followed by tame leopards, chimps, sea-lions and many more attractions of the circus. SHOTLIST: Key scene.
