MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Windscale Renewed. DESCRIPTION: At Windscale in Cumberland, where an atomic reactor blew up, so to speak, in 1957, big things are happening. The new atom furnaces being built will be safer and far more efficient. Windscale’s new Advanced Gas-cooled Reactor, here being built for the Atomic Energy Authority, is expected to be in operation some time next year. SHOTLIST: GV Windscale Atomic Plant.
