- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: A Foretaste of Christmas. DESCRIPTION: RN Cooks. At the Royal Naval Supply School at Chatham, they’re learning how to cook cod au gratin, and all that. They may have joined the Navy to sail around the world; but at the moment, they are in the kitchen!. Turkeys. Now is the time when all good turkeys come to the aid of the party. These pictures show a typical turkey-farm in Britain. Smithfield Show. At Earls Court, London, the Smithfield Show offers a variety of pleasing ideas for Christmas: livestock from all over the land. A magnificent Highland steer, an entry from the Queen’s estates, was one example of perfection on parade. Carols.
