MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Compassionate Leave. DESCRIPTION: The Army Barracks at Como in Northern Italy where Private Giullio Comparini is doing his National Service. And Shirley Holmes, the English girl born with a hole in her heart. Giullio was a waiter at her holiday hotel last year. It might be dangerous for Shirley to travel to Italy, so Giullio has been allowed a trip to England, provided free by the Italian Army.
