MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ae Matthews - 70 Years An Actor. DESCRIPTION: London, and film star AE Matthews celebrated his seventy years on the stage. Googie Withers, Jane Baxter and Elizabeth Sellars were among the bevy of young actresses offering congratulations. Congratulations are also offered to Mr J Arthur Rank, on his elevation to the Peerage in the Birthday Honours. He is honoured by the award of a Barony for public services.
