Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Trees Mark Seasonal Spirit. DESCRIPTION: Wherever Christmas is celebrated, there surely must be a Christmas tree; they even took one out to Heligoland where only twenty men will be spending Christmas. At the border line in Berlin, West German police have set up a tree. At the summit of Zugspitze, Germany’s highest mountain, a German weather-man also has his tree. London’s chief Christmas tree is of-course a big one that comes from Norway every year as a gift and set up in Trafalgar Square. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Xmas tree on boat. . Heligoland - Boat approaches island, unloading tree on quay. Carrying same to highest point of island. Germans stand round same singing (silent). Berlin - German police decorate Christmas tree on the sector border, several shots. Zugspitze - Elevated GV snow covered summit. Meteorologists enter cabin, interior - lighting candles of Xmas tree. Several shots of the snow covered summit outside. London - Trafalgar Square - various angle shots of the Xmas tree, also lit up.
