DESCRIPTION: The £2,000,000 Claerwen dam in the Elan Valley in Wales is the biggest of its kind in Great Britain; its opening was performed by Her Majesty the Queen, who was accompanied by the Duke of Edinburgh. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV Dam. Various shots of the dam. Queen & Duke walk across bridge towards platform. Crowds cheering. Queen (strong wind blowing) officially opens dam. Queen pulls lever over & shots of water trickling over dam wall. SCU water rushing through pass.
