Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: International Trophy Meeting. British Victory at Silverstone. DESCRIPTION: Tens of thousands of fans were at Silverstone for the International Trophy Meeting. Lance Macklin, driving a HWM, won for Great Britain at an average speed of 85.41 mph. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. CU No 25 car racing. Crowds. Cars in pits getting attention. Cars racing, one crashes into crowds, person flung about. Robert Manzon, Hawthorn, gets into car. CU Behra. CU Lance Macklin. De Graffenreid. Start of final race. Wide angle cars racing. CU No 33 Wharton, Peter Collins No 29, Mike Hawthorn, No 11, Lance Macklin, No 31, Macklin goes ahead and wins. Climbs out of car. Says a few words into mike about winning. CU handed the trophy & CU of him with trophy.
