- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Greeting 1952 (Chelsea Arts Ball). DESCRIPTION: A traditional way of greeting the New Year in London is the Chelsea Arts Ball at the Royal Albert Hall. There were about six thousands revellers there, this year, and that’s even more than last time. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Artist’s impression of masks & faces, etc. GV crowded hall. Crowds dancing. CU types dancing. Elevated GV of floor shows floats being pulled round. Various shots of the floats on the floor. GV crowds singing Auld Land Syne. SCU Movietone camera, with flexible lens. Several shots of couples kissing. Breaking up of the floats, crowds pulling them to pieces. Tilt down with balloons falling from ceiling. GV of balloons falling on the crowds which they burst on trying to grab same.
