MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Christmas Time Is Kiddies Time. DESCRIPTION: Yes, Christmas is coming - you can tell by the tableaux in Parisian shop windows, by the Pied Piper, brought to life in a Munich store and by the traditional manner with which Hollywood heralds the festive season. In austerity Britain the stores are pretty full of good things. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Snow sleighs, bells, etc. Several close-ups of tableaux in Paris shops, several shots people looking in window, hold children. Toy doll making dresses on machine. Munich, Germany - Various shots of shop decorations, toys etc, children watching same. Expressions on kids faces good. Set piece shows Santa Claus workshop, toy workers making toys etc. Hollywood - Night material - procession through streets, various floats, etc. Girls dance through street, Father Xmas on sleigh says Happy Xmas to Everybody. London - GV crowds in Oxford Street. Various shots of crowds in Oxford Street, carrying kiddies on their shoulder, in their arms etc. MS inside stores. CU child whispers to Father Christmas. Father Xmas & Uncle Holly putting toys on shelves. Various shots of working toys, Donald Duck, etc. miniature railway - figure eight. Circular motor run, etc. CU baby doll crying. Child rides on tricycle. Children hugging toys walk through stores. People carrying parcels leave stores, this incidentally is in Liverpool, GV exterior Selfridges, all lit-up, to finish, at dusk.
