Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Brm’s in British Grand Prix. DESCRIPTION: The presence of Parnell and Walker to drive the two BRM’s was a heartening event - it had been feared the cars wouldn’t be ready. There was a field of 25 - ninety laps to go, making a total distance of just under 260 miles. Victory was destined for Gonzalez in a Ferrari. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Car at speed. SCU Reg Parnell & Peter Walker. MS of the BRMs ready for start. Start of race. Various shots of cars speeding, mixing into one another. Cut-in Earl Howe & Raymond Mays watching. Fangio driving Alfa No 2. No 12, Gonzalez at speed. Pits - car being attended to. Parnell comes into pits, & drinking also car attended to. Gonzalez speeding, chequered flag dropped, Gonzalez wins. Gonzalez going embraced by men. Lady Howe puts laurels round his neck. Various shots of men embracing. Gonzales driving a Ferrari.
