MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bruneval Landings Commemoration. DESCRIPTION: General de Gaulle led the commemoration for those who fell in 1942 during the Bruneval landings. SHOTLIST: KS Taken from vessel, panning shots of cliffs of Bruneval. Aerial shot of thousands of people gathered on cliffs at ceremony. General de Gaulle walks through crowded streets of town, acknowledging their cheers etc. GV of gathering taken from back of people in fore showing cliffs in background, ceremony being performed on top of cliff. SCU Duff Cooper and Canadian Ambassador. De Gaulle unveils memorial. Also another, he lays a stone, after putting a manuscript inside stone which is cemented. This is to commemorate those of the 51st Highland Division which fell. Banners across street displaying the Regiment’s name. GV of gathering on cliffs showing cliffs in background where radar station was situated which our troops destroyed.
