MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Airborne Wins St Leger. DESCRIPTION: Doncaster Racecourse was crowded to see the Derby winner, Airborne, claim St Leger as well. SHOTLIST: KS Jockeys names go up on number board. LS of course shows mist in background. GV of grandstand and straight. Various shots of crowds. Crowds walk across course. MS of horses parading in paddock. CU head of Airborne in parade. MS Airborne (No 7) in parade. Carassin, the French horse, retires owing to going lame. Start of the race, Airborne lying last. Horses run out of camera. Cut-ins of types watching through binoculars, back view. Panning shot, horses round bend into straight, coming into camera, Salubrious in the lead. Going out of camera up the straight, coming into camera up straight, Airborne in lead with Murren second and Fast And Fair third, finish of race. Airborne led into unsaddling enclosure, Tom Lowrey up, acknowledging cheer etc. CU Lowrey. Various shots of Airborne including close up of head, led in by Mr Ferguson. Lowrey dismounts.
