MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Pacific Fleet Battles Typhoon. DESCRIPTION: The American fleet in Pacific was caught up in a typhoon which caused much damage particularly towards planes on one of the carriers. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Fighter planes clamped down to flight deck. Shot of wind instrument. Huge seas breaking over the bows of ships, colossal seas running. Aircraft Carrier with flight deck buckled, planes smashed on the deck. Cruiser "Pittsburgh" with bow broken off, various shots. Shots of bow floating in the water, various shots of cruiser without her bows, & CU of same to finish. GVs of bows floating in water (seas).
