- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Balloon Command Stand-Down. DESCRIPTION: The Barrage Balloon has been a familiar sight over London and other cities for some years. Now Balloon Command has had it’s final Parade and been thanked - on behalf of the country - by Sir Archibald Sinclair. SHOTLIST: Cut story - (Library - Various shots of barrage balloons flying over cities, & open spaces.) GV aerodrome, shows balloons going up. (Library - Girls at Balloon Command operating same.) At aerodrome, Sir Archibald Sinclair takes salute, at marchpast of RAF & WAAF personnel. Speech by Sinclair thanking them for what they have done.
