Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Anti Fascist Fury in Rome. DESCRIPTION: The scenes in the court at the trial of Pietro Caruso and Donato Caretta were those of a lynch mob. Caretta was beaten and trampled to death and his body was thrown in the Tiber. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Entrance of Court of Justice. GV Royal Palace of Justice with bridge across Tiber in fore (from which Caretta was thrown). Crowds outside court. Interior shots of crowds inside court. Interior shots of crowds inside court, shows Colonel Pollock (ex-Scotland Yard) with American Lt Atkinson trying to persuade people to leave. Crowds listen to Italian speaking. Crowds rioting, grab Caretta, knocking about, etc., etc.
