- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: From Lyons to Antwerp. DESCRIPTION: At Drancy, near Paris, a Concentration Camp previously used for Jews now houses French collaborators. The Maquis has been very active in the area around Grenoble and Lyons. General Patton’s men have been involved in heavy fighting in the Metz area as these pictures show. British armoured divisions have swept north and Antwerp has been liberated. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. GV Drancy concentration camp, now used to house collaborationists. Various shots. pans of collaborationists walking & standing in group in centre courtyard. Shots of others in surrounding buildings. GV of Lyon crowds cheering. CU Lyon paper headlines. FFI march off collaborationists through streets of city. Various shots of FFIs & British troops firing at hospital still held by Germans, hospital set on fire by Germans. Lyon civilians lie on ground to miss machine gun fire. Evacuating patients from hospitals. On Metz front, American soldiers, carry pontoon bridge to river Moselle, cross same, others carry wounded off field. Yanks lie on ground for protection. AFU - Antwerp signpost. Convoy through streets, British troops sniping from carriers, tanks etc. Belgian crowds cheer our troops as they pass through. Crowds run from machine gun fire, also Huns running with their hands up. British convoy passes castle, people walk about waving flags. GV of Albert Canal & various shots of British Carriers & tanks, crossing bridge over Albert Canal. CU track of tank passing over bridge. Convoy continues along road out of camera to finish.
