Summary

MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: France - Days of Fulfillment. DESCRIPTION: The Maquis, the French Resistance, have been playing a full part in the liberation of France. In Chartres they were in action alongside the Americans in freeing that city. The Allies continue to take many German prisoners, 50,000 from the "pocket" alone. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Men of Maquis receive rifles (KS). Rifles from loft & handed out. Patriots prepare - march down road. Patriots sniping - also French troops in US uniforms. This takes place in Chartres. Prisoners. Crowds, jeer at prisoners from behind iron gates. Collaborationists with shaven heads. Girl with rifle. Patriots receive food. Crowds cheer and wave French flag. Replacing Coat of Arms. LS Church. Street fighting, fires, etc. Armour forward. Wreckage of German armour. Infantry forward. Capture of German officer and CU of same. Prisoners march in lorry loads of prisoners. Prisoners in camp. Small boy in uniform. Captured Russian Mongolians. Prisoner rides in on horse.
