Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Allies Apply Squeeze to Falaise Gap. DESCRIPTION: United Kingdom and Canadian troops had been battering the "hinge" and now the Canadians push down the road to Falaise. The southern arm was being rapidly placed in position by the Americans’ wide out-flanking sweep. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Line of tanks being prepared for battle. LS Explosion in background. Line of Shermans along road. Signpost "Falaise/Alencon/La Mans". Signpost "Laval". Shermans through Laval. CU Sherman. US Infantry through Laval single file. Civilians watch Shermans & troops along street. Typhoon in flight. AV Rockets hitting various targets, aerodromes, planes, transport, trains etc. Enemy plane shot up in mid-air. Also camera-gun of targets.
