Summary
[1ST SUBTITLE]: "Miss Mercedes Gleitze, the London typist, conquers the Channel at her second attempt in a week and her 8th in all." She enters the water watched by a male attendant and some children sitting on the beach. Shots of her swimming. [2ND SUBTITLE]: "This plucky girl accomplished the swim in 15 hours 15 minutes, beating Mrs Corson’s time by 13 minutes". Wrapped in a rug she sits a rowing boat with an elderly fisherman at her side.
