- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Another Bomber Base Completed. DESCRIPTION: A new bomber base has been handed over to a heavy bombardment division of the US 8th Air Force. Sergeant Joe Louis had been expected to hand over the base on behalf of the troops but his flight was delayed. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Negro band lead march-past of Negro Engineer troops. Various shots of Negro troops marching past, in background dais with Major General CE LeMay & Major General Cecil R Moore. Bulldozers driven past stand & various equipment. Flying Fortress just after take off (the first to fly from the new aerodrome). Joe Louis arrives, gets out of C47 plane (he was to turn over aerodrome, but arrived late). Greeted by crowd of Negro troops, walks off with American officers.
