- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Action on the Burma Front. DESCRIPTION: Advances are being made by the Fourteenth Army on the Burma Front, including the recapture of Maungdaw. SHOTLIST: Cut story - LS artillery firing, followed by mortars, this being in the jungle. Natives firing small artillery. British troops & patrols going across clearing in hilly country, explosions around, few fall down wounded, stretcher bearers carry off one case. The troops consist of British, Gurkhas, Sikhs, Punjabs, GS of dead soldier. Elevated shot of patrol through jungle, GS of dead Jap in tree. GS of forest land with road running through, this being blocked by trees etc., patrol clears same. Troops advance on village, firing Bren guns, small arms etc. Troops pulling dead soldier out of trench.
