MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: North African Landings. DESCRIPTION: The Anglo-American Expedition to landing places on the North African coast - Operation Torch. This part of the operation was the landing at Oran. SHOTLIST: GS of convoy, followed by a destroyer ploughing through average rough sea. Shot of part of ship showing the anti-aircraft gun, in the background can be seen some more ships. Americans doing physical training on deck, with CU of the instructor. Destroyer alongside ship almost sends message over by means of rope. CU Captain GRG Allen & Captain Dejczakowski (Polish Captain) on bridge. Flotilla ploughing through water. Looking over side of ship at rainbow, group of Americans. GS Coastline alongside of ship, an ALC which are later seen making for the shore. ALC into camera up beach, unloading cargo, in which natives help. GS landing. Elevated shot of same. Yank and native talking. Aerial shot of country, mix to London showing towers & steeples of churches. Yanks landing craft. The above is cut story.
