- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Churchill at Mansion House. DESCRIPTION: Mr Churchill attending the Lord Mayor’s lunch at the Mansion House speaks of the victory at El Alamein. SHOTLIST: This is not the end - but beginning speech. Interior shots showing everybody seated except those in attendance. Churchill is addressing guests through mike, he tanks about the war. New Lord Mayor (Sir Samuel) is seated on his right. Sword & mace are lying on the table. Shot of Churchill leaving Mansion House, he acknowledges crowds, then gets into car which drives away. Pan of crowds outside, one fellow is sitting in a window; elevated shot of same. Interior shots. MS Churchill & Joseph. Joseph addressing guests, while camera pans guests showing Archbishop of Canterbury; Bevin; Woolton; Maharaja of Baroda; Mrs Churchill. Elevated shot of interior showing guests toasting. Joseph is not addressing, but suggesting a toast, he holds in his hand a glass. Cut story - Churchill leaving (shown as arriving at Mansion House, acknowledges crowds; interior shot all standing for commencement of his speech, they then sit & he starts speech.
