- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: Take part in one of the weirdest pilgrimages ever - a pilgrimage they call "In the footsteps of Sherlock Holmes". Many of the master sleuth’s adventures took place in Switzerland, so this is where the Sherlock Holmes Society of London have come to re-create those adventures in a bizarre cross-country romp. A physician, a QC and a barrister are among the pilgrims, but they’re all dressed in Victorian finery to take the parts of the characters in the Holmes’ stories. First shrine is the Chateau de Lucens, home of Adrian Conan-Doyle, son of Holmes’ creator. Then its on through Interlaken to the Reichenbach Falls, where they re-create a mountain-top struggle between Holmes and his arch-enemy Professor Moriarty. But it’s not all straight from the books; the Society add their own wacky escapades to the trip. And it all adds up to one adventure Holmes would not have called "Elementary".
