Summary
Pathe synopsis: Snake-charmers, acrobats, African dancers, mystics, story-tellers: the ingredients of one of the strangest open-air circuses in the world - The Square of the Dead in Marrakech, Morocco. It’s a Mecca for the tourist as is the early morning camel market where the desert traders collect their caravans; the colour splashed bazaars where you can buy an "antique rifle" made that very morning; the Royal Palace where the King and Crown Prince parade on their national day; the Haras Marocains national stud for the breeding of Arab Stallions; and the most fantastic of all the Fantasia. See Berber horsemen, armed to the teeth, charging through the smoke of their mock battle; Morocco’s version of a mediaeval jousting tournament.
