MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Rescue Tugs Story. DESCRIPTION: Ocean going tugs are playing an important part in the war at sea. They bring in ships that have got into difficulties, one recently steamed 1,300 miles into the Atlantic to bring in a ship. SHOTLIST: General view of tug. Radio operator receives distress signal. Captain and officer plot course on chart. Views of disabled vessel. Heaving line thrown aboard disabled ship. Towing wire being hauled in. Ship is tow and being brought to safety.
