Commentary: Exotic plants from far-off lands stand rank upon rank. Past them walk ladies in saris, nodding to coffee-coloured gardeners tending their quiet, remote gardens. We realise with a shock that we are not in Asia or Africa, but in London, as we sweep from a blaze of floral lovelies to a passing London bus.
