- Summary
- Pathe synopsis: The age-old problem of what puts the hole in the macaroni is solved at last. During a short visit to a factory in St Albans, Hertfordshire, it is conclusively proved that the macaroni is wrapped round the hole. Equally fascinating is the manufacture of yards of spaghetti, as well as a glimpse of a housewife’s nightmare - a sheet of dough 2 ft. wide by 60-80 feet long; this unwieldy slab is processed and folded into delicate strands of vermicelli.
