Summary
Pathe synopsis: The Shakespeare birthday celebrations held annually at Stratford-upon-Avon originated many years ago as a simple procession intended to give the local citizens an opportunity to honour the memory of their most illustrious son. Today it has grown into a big event patronised by foreign ambassadors and representatives of Commonwealth countries, of culture and of the arts.
