Summary
Pathe synopsis: Before the camera was invented, miniature painting was a flourishing art, and such is the appeal of these jewel-like portraits that the camera has never quite killed it. Today in the hands of brilliant exponents like Miss Daysi Brooks of Norwich, who paints on ivory, the ideal surface for this delicate work, it is enjoying a welcome revival.
