Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Fierce Fighting Continues in Russia. DESCRIPTION: The Red Army fights on, the already terrific clash of arms along a huge front continues into a third month. SHOTLIST: Tanks move up to the front, while heavy artillery, covered, by protective dress opens up. Nazi vehicles, motor cycles, lorries, tanks, lie smashed and battered along the roadside, while long lines of prisoners are marched off. One Nazi is interrogated, while plans of action and a portable wireless are inspected. Harvesting is pursued by the civilians. Reapers are used and the corn is gathered. Tank ditches are also dug by civilians. The Red Air Force goes into action. A bomber with fighter escort take off. Various aerial shots, including one shot of the ground, taken from a plane with a column moving up. Nazi planes are crashing while AA guns fire. A battery of machine guns fires against a Messerschmitt 109. There is a night air raid, good shots of AA guns firing & searchlights at night. One plane crashes in flames. Various shots of Stalin and Molotov. The story ends with troops marching and singing.
