Summary
Another British route was pioneered by BOAC - London to Osaka, Japan, the quick way - over the North Pole. The 707 jetliner set course for the East - due North! The three-times-a-week same-plane route saves almost half-a-day’s travelling time; a boon for British businessmen. Pathe News travelled with them on the inaugural flight up to the roof of the world and back down again.
