Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: HMS "Ajax" Home. DESCRIPTION: The gallant ‘Ajax’ arrives home bearing some of the scars from the River Plate battle. SHOTLIST: Various shots of the conqueror of the "Admiral Graf Spee". Little damage appears to have been done and the sailors are all happy as they do their work. The seaplane is intact and as the men go on leave CPO Watson and the skipper. Captain Woodhouse say a few words. The plaque commemorating the victory is added to battle honours won by other ships called "Ajax". A library shot of the Graf Spee was used.
