- Summary
- D-Day, 6th June 1944. Four years ago on the 4th June the evacuation of Dunkirk was completed, and now the ships and troops return to France on the first leg of the invasion of Europe. Mr Churchill is there to see the ships depart and British and American troops board landing craft which will take them to the waiting troopships. Paratroops board Dakotas and are seen off by General Brereton. Londoners are seen crowding round newspaper seller for news of the Great Day.
