- History
- Fordson Newsreel was intended as a public relations tool for Fordson tractors. Although called a newsreel by Ford, in terms of content, the series was more like a cinemagazine. Most of the issues contained footage of Fordson tractors, but often as incidental parts of stories about land drainage or construction, in order to encourage viewing by social and educational 16mm users. The series ran for 50 issues, from 1953 until 1960. and was distributed by the Ford Film Library free of charge.
