    The official website of astrophysicist Professor Stephen Hawking. The Video tab lists the series Stephen Hawking’s Grand Designs, Into the Universe with Stephen Hawking and Stephen Hawking’s Universe with links to purchase at amazon.com. There are also links to interviews and lectures hosted on YouTube; these include Hawking’s appearance on The Simpsons, the 50th NASA Anniversary Lecture and a lecture delivered at the White House in 1998 introduced by Hillary Clinton. The site also provides transcripts of some of Hawking’s lectures and a list of his publications.

The site is the creation of film educator Tom Barrance and features a guide to film language and grammar called How Films Work, followed by a brief, step-by-step practical guide to the process itself, called Making a Film. There is also a blog and information about a range of courses and training days which Barrance runs, as well as interactive resources on filmmaking which are available as DVD-ROMs or Apps for the iPad.

    DIOMEDES (DIstribution Of Multi-view Entertainment using content aware DElivery Systems) is an EU funded project to investigate and demonstrate new techniques for the compression and delivery of 3D immersive entertainment for home viewing. A collaboration led by the University of Surrey, the project involves academic institutions, research bodies and the television industry. The website features a number of videos explaining the background to the initiative and demonstrating how 3D media capture works.

    Free subscription to Mybrainshark allows users to create online and mobile video presentations by uploading PowerPoints, documents, photos or video clips and then adding audio by phone, microphone or MP3. Presentations created can then be shared by linking via email or social media, embedded in websites or blogs, and viewed anytime, on-demand from desktop or mobile devices. Viewing details – who, what, when and where - can also be tracked. Examples of works made with the software, mainly on management topics, are featured on the site, and an enhanced version of the software is available for purchase. Short videos on the practicalities of using Mybrainshark have been produced by Russell Stannard of Teacher Training Videos - uploading PowerPoint and working with photos, videos and documents .

It includes photographs of items from his collection, with accompanying descriptions of varying lengths. The televisions are divided into post-war table and console sets, pre-war, and projection televisions.
