Free subscription to Mybrainshark allows users to create online and mobile video presentations by uploading PowerPoints, documents, photos or video clips and then adding audio by phone, microphone or MP3. Presentations created can then be shared by linking via email or social media, embedded in websites or blogs, and viewed anytime, on-demand from desktop or mobile devices. Viewing details – who, what, when and where - can also be tracked. Examples of works made with the software, mainly on management topics, are featured on the site, and an enhanced version of the software is available for purchase. Short videos on the practicalities of using Mybrainshark have been produced by Russell Stannard of Teacher Training Videos - uploading PowerPoint and working with photos, videos and documents .
The purpose of this site, run by US teacher Richard Byre in the form of a blog, is to share information about free websites and resources that teachers can use to enhance their classroom teaching. Examples of the kind of resources featured are tutorials for using Google tools, creating blogs and videos for the web, as well as setting up and maintaining websites, and links to sites streaming educational videos.
Since its launch in 2000 as the community forum for the magazine ‘Home Cinema Choice Online’ this set of forums has grown so as to become the official community for several of the major UK consumer electronics magazines and provides a wealth of useful information, advice and reviews in this rapidly changing environment.
