    Multi-lingual German poetry website featuring over 10,000 poems read by over 10,000 poets. Many of the poems also include translations which can be read as parallel texts to the original, while the user listens to the poem being read. The site includes major poets from the early 20th century, such as Paul Celan and W.B.Yeats, as well as a wide-range of contemporary poets. Users can filter their search by country, language, genre (eg, political poetry, narrative poetry), subject, and poetic form.

    The European Council on Foreign Relations (ECFR) is an independent pan-European think-tank, which was founded in 2007 to conduct research and promote informed debate across Europe on the development of a coherent and effective European values-based foreign policy. The ECFR’s podcasts - which are available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish - cover current European issues, particularly questions on the European Union, and Europe’s place in the wider world, especially with regard to China, the Middle East and Africa, and Russia.

    Named after the philosopher, sociologist, and writer Siegfried Kracauer (1889-1966), this series of podcasts and video lectures, which is hosted by the Goethe University, Frankfurt, aims to present innovative contemporary scholarship on film and media from the fields of film and media studies, art history, cultural studies, and aesthetic philosophy. The lectures also aim to engage with science, theories of technology cultural and media economics, and political theory. The podcasts feature eminent film scholars from Europe and the USA, including Ginette Vincendeau, Thomas Elsaesser and Andras Balint Kovacs and are free to view or can be accessed as an rss feed.

    This is the website of Germany’s international broadcaster, which provides a wide range of television, radio and online services in thirty languages and is particularly strong in its coverage of culture, education and European social, political and economic matters. The Learn German page, provides access to a range of language courses, suitable for all levels, and including e-learning services, videos, audio courses and podcasts, as well as written materials and worksheets. Amongst the language resources on offer is Langsam Gesprochne Nachrichten, a series of podcasts, with accompanying transcripts, of the news being read slowly in German.

    Transcripts and audio recordings of Holocaust survivors, taken from a programme of interviews with over 150 survivors of the Nazi Holocaust of the Jews conducted by Dr Sid Bolkosky, Professor of History at the University of Michigan-Dearborn. The transcriptions are available as PDF files, which contains links within them to the audio files (a feature which is not made clear in the introduction to the site). There are short biographies and photographs of each of the interviewees.
