    Launched in 2017, the Migration Museum Project is devoted to shining a light on the many ways that the movement of people to and from Britain across the ages has shaped who we are –as individuals, as communities and as a nation. The website offers a Resource Bank section with advice and ideas for teachers on how to explore the subjects of migration, immigration, emigration, multiculturalism and cultural diversity in the classroom. The site also showcases a small collection of videos and audio material, including poets Musa Okwonga and Hollie McNish performing their poems Migrant Manifesto, and Mathematics respectively.

The Video Library showcases short films on the latest discoveries and research findings made by Academy scientists around the world.     The new home to all the BBC classroom resources, which cover 22 subjects ranging from early years to GCSE. Major cultural events such as Black History Month or Shakespeare Season are also covered. The new site includes: Primary and Secondary Class clips, which are arranged by subject and age group; Live Lessons, half-hour curriculum-linked webcasts for the classroom; School Radio, with resources covering music, dance, history, collective workshop, literacy and maths; Terrific Scientific, which is aimed at encouraging scientific enquiry for Key Stage2; Ten Pieces, the classical music project which aims to open up the world of classical music to 7 to 14-year-old across the UK.

    A project which was undertaken to mark the 50th anniversary of the University of York has resulted in this series of interviews with people who have been involved with the university since its inception in 1963. Including contribution from some of the first students, administrative staff and tutors, the resource provides some fascinating insights into the early years of the university.     Thinking Allowed is a BBC 4 radio discussion programme. First broadcast in 1998 it focuses on the latest social science research and is hosted by Laurie Taylor, who was formerly a Professor of Sociology at the University of York. All programmes are available as podcasts. The range of issues debated is impressive; recent editions have covered the cultural and historical meaning of the word ‘black’, lesbianism in Russia, commercial surrogacy in India, and Romanian economic migrants in Britain.

    The London School of Economics offers a broad selection of over thirty podcasts and videos from its departments and schools. This page presents the resources in a clearly laid out manner, making it easy to see at a glance what is on offer, with brief, informative summaries of each podcast and a clear design.
